Rules of the letters LL - Y
The letters LL and Y, have the same sound, so Words that are written with LL or with Y may lead to confusion.
Let's look at some rules that will help us know when we should write with LL or with Y.

Exceptions:

The ending yendo (gerund) of the verbs whose infinitive ends in aer - eer - uir.

Verbal endings -uyo -uya -uyes -uyamos -uyesen -uyeron, of the verbs whose infinitive ends in uir, buir, cluir.

The words that begin with yu - yer.
Exceptions:

Plurals of the words that end in y in singular.
Nº. 7
Words that contain the syllable yec.
Nº. 8
The verb forms of verbs that do not have Y in their infinitive.
Nº. 9
After consonant is written y.

The copulative conjunction y. This conjunction is e if the second word starts with i (The initial h is ignored).
Exceptions:
