Rules of the letter V

The name of the letter V (uve) is the only one used in Spain and in a many parts of America, where they also use the name (ve).

When they use the name (ve) they usually do it as (ve low, ve short or ve small), to distinguish the name of this letter, in the oral language, from the the letter B(be).

The denomination recommended by the Academy of the Language for the letter V, in all the Hispanic field, is (uve), since it is distinguished, without the need to add adjectives, of the name of the letter B (be).
