LEARN TO CONJUGATE AUXILIARY SER

The Spanish language has the peculiarity of having two verbs SER y ESTAR (TO BE) while in many other languages have only one word for both meanings. The verb SER can be used in place of "to exist" and in this sense, not be confused with the verb ESTAR as it has another meaning.

As auxiliary, the verb SER is used for the conjugation of the passive voice of transitive verbs, with the following structure:

As we have seen, the passive voice in Spanish is rarely used, and when using the verb must be transitive.

To learn how to conjugate the verb SER do not memorize the whole table, only need to know by heart the following:

* The Participle (participio): sido.

* The Gerund (gerundio): siendo.

* The 1st person (persona) of the simple tenses. Knowing the 1st person is very easy to tell all the others.

* The correspondence for the formation of the compound tenses.
